We have moved!

Wiltshire Sight’s new Office Building in Browfort, Devizes

The charity says a fond farewell to its offices in Commercial Road, as we have moved into a new Sight Centre on the Browfort campus in Devizes.

The move is to accommodate the charity’s plans for increasing support to people living with sight loss in Wiltshire.

The new centre offers a fully fitted resource kitchen and Assistive Technology suite, with the latest products available for demonstration. There is also ample room for running training courses and offering social activities.

The Friday Craft Club, which currently meets in the Nursteed Centre, will move in to the new building in September and it will also become the home of Zoom Club, a families and children’s project.

Leanne Hubbard, Chief Executive of Wiltshire Sight said: “The move marks a new era for the charity, which has been running for 95 years. Our old offices had become unsuitable for the services we wish to offer. The layout of the new centre is much more suited to our plans. We’re looking at lots of exciting new projects and we have a team with bags of enthusiasm and experience and lots of plans for the future”.

The charity has been able to fund the move through the generous donations of our supporters and would like to thank everyone who gave up their time and efforts to help with the move. The business community in Swindon provided teams from Nationwide and Zurich to help with painting and decorating. Perry Landscaping Services, Trowbridge, also gave a free day, sorting out the garden.
